We are experiencing real momentum at the moment. By working with our partners to shift attitudes around education and employment, together, we have increased the graduation rate by 20% since our inception. Our collective efforts are breaking deep stigmas and teaching the kids in our community that they are worthy of good things. Giving Tuesday is November 28th
For Giving Tuesday this year, we are appealing to our valued community to consider donating to Phelps Helps.
How does your contribution help?
Your support allows us to provide over 400 participants with after-school educational support, with healthy and varied snacks and an opportunity to form strong bonds with each other and the Phelps team.
This extends to the 1-on-1 sessions with young people and adults, helping them reattach to school, guiding them with the application process to post-secondary education and associated loans and grants, as well as providing job search support. We recently opened a Youth Club to offer support to the young people who need somewhere to regroup, to socialize and form bonds – all in a safe setting.
