COVID-19 response

The health and safety of our team members, participants, and the community are important to us. For this reason, we are respecting the social distancing recommendation by the government and the Phelps Helps office will remained closed to the public. Phelps team members will remain available by phone, email, and through social media.

On April 14, an online tutoring service was launched using phone and Zoom calls. In its third week, the Online Tutoring program has provided an impressive 30+ hours of one-on-one online tutoring which is set to increase to 45 hours of support to 60 children.

Empowering a community through educational and career support

Phelps Aide Phelps Helps was founded in 2012 to expressly combat the unacceptably high drop-out rates in the Stanstead area of Quebec. Since its founding, the organization has grown organically from a single high school tutoring program to six individual programs aimed at providing educational and career support.
